Yogi & Pepper
"It was wonderful working with RI Feline Rescue! We’ve had our 3 month old kittens for 2 weeks now, and we can tell how well they’ve been socialized - no bad habits and they’re getting to be quite friendly as they get to know us. Katie and Aznif (their foster mom) were great to work with, provided resources, and answered all our questions. You can tell they care about the kitten’s wellbeing. It was an easy process from start to finish."
Rory & Sebastian
“They are adorable and such a joy! They are settling in very well and are very comfortable. They are best friends so I am very happy to have adopted both of them. They are hard to get on camera unless they are taking a nice resting break from running around playing and exploring.”
“I loved working with with rescue. You guys really care about the animals and your diligence in making sure they go to a good home is awesome. Thank you so much for letting me adopt these precious little guys. They have brought so much joy in a short time and I look forward to loving them for years to come.”
Ollie
“Thanks so much for your excellent work in caring for cats!
We renamed him Ollie. He’s doing great! He gets along with our other cat, Timothy, who is about 13. Ollie is full of kitten energy, plays and eats a lot! His whiskers are growing. He is the picture of health.
We love him!!!😻😻😻”
“I am so impressed by how thoughtful and thorough your process is: application, a good phone call, checking with our vet, meeting the kitten, etc. His medical care, paperwork and foster care were all super. He has settled in nicely and we love him! Thanks for the wonderful work you do!!!!”
Bandit
“Clover, now Bandit, is doing great!! We’ve slowly given him free range of the house during the past week, as the introduction to our cat, Jack, went very well. They quickly started playing together, wrestling, and chasing each other, including all over me at 1:30 this morning. Have seen some mutual licks, too. We made sure he wasn’t getting hurt by Jack, but apparently not, as he keeps going back for more. Then when he’s tired, he often climbs into my arms for a purr and a nap, which makes work a challenge. He’s so lovable and he looks quite happy.”
“The experience we had with RI Feline Rescue was a very positive one in every way. Thank you for doing what you all do.”
Theo
“Phlox, who we have renamed “Theo”, is doing wonderful! He’s a very affectionate and playful boy. He’s taken quite the liking to the dogs, he will run up and rub on their chins/faces. He loves watching the rain from his cat tree and adores his treats. He is a very vocal boy and his purr is almost as loud as his meow! We’re so happy to have him, he adds so much character. He’s such a bouncy boy, it’s difficult to get pictures of him.”
Sassy & Cleo
“They are doing beyond amazing. They have really come out of their shell- playing with me and their toys, each other and with my oldest son . . .
Sassy sleeps in my oldest son’s bed now with him at night and Cleo sleeps with me. My children love them and they have become so playful and cuddly too. We really couldn’t be happier!”
Fia
“She is such a joy!! She is so loving with her sweet gestures of love. She nuzzles my face and rolls on her back so that I can rub her belly. Yet she is independent and loves to play with her toys. She settled right in to her favorite resting spots and enjoys her bird watching at the windows. Her transition to our home has been so smooth, which I think speaks to her foster parents' loving care! We are thrilled to have Fia and give many thanks for her joining our family!!”
Nacho
“Garfield (now Nacho) has been doing so great!! He has opened up so much since we first took him in. He went from shy and scared to a little love bug that wants to be held all the time, and near us 24/7 he loves playing with his feather toys and sitting out on the catio. He has definitely found his voice and will let us know when he wants to play haha. We give him all the best treats and toys and love he wants We are so happy to have him! Thank you again so much for bringing this sweet little man into our lives!”
Merlin
“He’s so snuggly! He has become so playful and vocal, even chirping back to us when we talk to him! His sweet personality has made him quick friends and he loves to show them his loud purr and wand toys. He’s such a curious boy— he loves to be picked up and brought into new spaces just so he can look around!”
Ebony
“Ebony has been doing absolutely amazing in her new environment. She knows how to be independent and has settled into her litter, drinking and eating the food we’ve given her, as well as demolishing all her toys (in the best way.) She hasn’t tried to scratch something she isn’t supposed to. Ebony has been an amazing cat overall.
She’s such a huge ball of love and energy, and we’re so glad to have her as a vibrant part of our family.“
Toki
“We adopted Toki (formerly Aveline) as a companion for our son and younger cat, Felix. We have an older cat, Nancy, and while Felix wanted to play with her, she did not want to play with him. When we first contacted RI Feline Rescue, they had a litter of tuxedo cats. Toki was listed as the least playful of the bunch so we worried she might not withstand Felix's playful nature either. But after a day or two of settling in, we watched her come out of her shell. Almost immediately, she chose our son as her person in the family, and after a few failed attempts on Felix's part to get her to play, Toki soon joined in the game. Yesterday I caught her chasing him around the house! And our old lady Nancy finally gets her peaceful retirement. Toki has been a blessing to our house, and I am so happy that she and Felix will get to grow up together alongside my son. “
Charlie
“He is doing so great. Completely adjusted and has forced our other two kitties to accept him whether they wanted to or not (but they have and they love playing with him!)
He made his way onto the Catio for for the first time today as well. He is doing awesome and we love having him!!!!”
Merlin
“Merlin has been the absolute best kitty. My son loves him and they are best friends. He's playful and friendly and greets everyone at the door and loves sitting on your lap. Shy, he is not. I really don't have a bad thing to say about him at all, Just perfect. He lays in his bed, next to mine on the floor and sleeps through the night... He doesn't claw us or bite or have any attitude issues.
I couldn't have asked for a better cat. Very grateful that he chose us.”
Bibitte (Bebe)
Formerly known as Cecilia, Bibitte's journey to finding her forever home wasn't easy. She lost her sibling, faced illness, and moved between several homes in a short period. But Bebe's irresistible personality caught the eye of her new family, who were quick to adopt her.
Despite a complicated medical history, Bebe quickly became a beloved member of the family. She's smart, sweet, and sassy, with exceptional snuggling skills. And although she was initially provided a cozy safe room, it wasn't long before Bebe was out and about in the house.
Bebe's playful nature and acrobatic skills make her a joy to be around. She greets everyone with adorable nose rubs and plenty of cuddles. Her lightning-fast reflexes and stealthy hunting skills are a sight to behold. Introducing her to the family's 11-year-old Husky mix, Wiley, required patience, time, and plenty of treats, but they now coexist peacefully.
With her charming personality and adorable antics, Bebe has become an integral part of her new family's life. They couldn't be more thrilled to have her.
Bogey
Bogey (formerly Toothless) has been with his new family for since the beginning of November 2023 and he is thriving! His foster guardian worked tirelessly to make him more comfortable around humans, and the results are clear. Bogey is becoming increasingly affectionate and playful with each passing day. Currently, his top faves are golf balls and shoelaces, but who knows what tomorrow will bring?
Bogey's new human is a superhero in disguise. Cats can be slow to connect, but with time and patience, they'll come around and snuggle up. At first, Bogey was unsure about his new digs, but his human persisted, and now Bogey will sometimes come up to him to ask for pets! And when Bogey purrs, it's like a secret code for "I love you" that only the two of them know. Here's to a lifelong friendship between Bogey and his superhero human!
