Please note, Rhode Island Feline Rescue reserves the right to deny adoption for any reason.

Thank you for your interest in adopting from Rhode Island Feline Rescue! Please note, we do not adopt on a first-come, first-serve basis. Rather, we focus on the best fit for each individual cat/kitten. Our goal is to ensure long term success for both you and the cat.

Did you know cats can live up to 20 years? That's right! We ensure all the cats in our care have been given a healthy start once they come to us. If you are adopting a cat with special medical needs, Rhode Island Feline Rescue will inform you of the medical care needed to continue a healthy path. You must be at least 21 years old to adopt.

All of the cats and kittens available for adoption are fully vetted, which includes the following: veterinarian checkup, FIV/FELV testing, spay/neuter, microchipping, deworming, flea/tick treatment, distemper and rabies vaccines.

This application is designed to help us determine if the adoption is in the animal's best interest and to assist the potential adopter in finding an animal most compatible with his/her lifestyle. An unwise adoption can result in an unpleasant experience for adoptive families and may ruin the cat's chances for any future adoptions. WE HOPE YOU WILL AGREE THAT THE ANIMAL'S WELFARE MUST BE OUR FOREMOST CONSIDERATION.

Our adoption fee is $300 for kittens under 1 year, $200 for adult cats 1-9 years old and $100 for senior cats 10+ years old.
