Adoption Application

Thank you for your interest in adopting from Rhode Island Feline Rescue! Please note, we do not adopt on a first-come, first-serve basis. Rather, we focus on the best fit for each individual cat/kitten. Our goal is to ensure long term success for both you and the cat. Preference may be given to applicants looking to adopt two cats from the same foster home. You must be at least 21 years old to adopt.

The adoption screening process is thorough and includes contacting landlords and vets, confirming residence, and background checks. If you have been a client with any veterinary practice within the past 10 years, please call their office(s) to grant permission for them talk to us in advance of submitting your application. If you are the best fit for the cat(s) you have applied for, we will reach out after processing all other applications for the same cat.

If you are selected after the application screening process, there will be a phone call with an adoption team member and an in-person Meet & Greet with the foster parent for the cat. If all parties agree it is still a great fit, then you will sign a contract and pay the adoption fee before taking home your new kitty.

Adoption fees cover foster care expenses, vet visits, deworming, microchipping, vaccinations, FIV/FELV testing, and spay/neutering.

Kittens (<1 year): $300 each
Adults (1-9 years): $200 each
Seniors (10+ years): $150 each

Thank you for your support as we find the best homes for our rescues!
